Solitaire Management and International Booking Agency is the second of three companies set up under the Solitaire name.
After the success of Solitaire Residential Recording Studio, Alan decided he needed to be able to control several aspects of his music industry career together under one company name, so he decided to set up the Solitaire Agency and also Solitaire Records.
Initially, Solitaire Management was set up with Barry Heavey to organise the world-wide booking of tours for several of the productions and artists that Alan has been working with for several years including Ella Haluk, Peter Corry, Gaelforce Dance etc.
Barry recently left Solitaire to concentrate on other projects and now works on a freelance agent basis from time to time.
In a short time it became clear that other artists and large scale production shows were also interested in these services. The artist roster has grown to include some of the best acts from Ireland and around the world today.
Solitaire Management is now undergoing some changes.
Solitaire Management will now be the main company that will organise the many aspects of Alan's services including Production Managing for tours and corporate events, Live Sound Engineering, International Booking Agency for touring and Corporate Entertainment, Studio Engineering, Solitaire Residential Recording Studio, Solitaire Records, Freight Management services throughout Europe and beyond, and Website Design.
Alan, along with Michael Durkan has also secured the Lisence for Tservis Ireland/UK. Acting as an agent for Tservis.com based in the Czech Republic, we can offer full tour support regarding the hire and backup of large scale lights, sound, staging, and trucking for any productions in Europe. We can also handle installs for theatres or arenas.
Alan soon became the main house engineer at Starc. During his time there, he also gained a wealth of experience in public relations and promotion, artist management, recording and publishing contracts, and music industry legalities. He also acted as booking agent with Starc Records roster of artists.
After seven years with Starc, Alan decided to go freelance. During this time he worked on many projects in some of the bigger studios in Dublin and Ireland and also acted as front of house engineer on some large scale tours around Europe.
After three years as a freelance engineer, Alan, now at the age of 27, opened his first business, Solitaire Recording Studio Ltd.
In 2000, Alan became Head Of Sound for the touring show Gaelforce Dance. He spent over three years working for this company and touring the world, and this is where he met his partner, Ella Haluk (www.ellahaluk.com).
Alan has worked as Live front of house sound engineer for over 12 years and has been production manager on several large scale productions for over 6 years.
During his time on tour Alan has built up a wealth of contacts and business relationships with promoters world-wide. Also over the years he has worked with some of the best artists from Ireland and some of these have now been added to the agency roster.
Solitaire studio has continued running along side Alan's
other projects and has just relocated to a 3125 square feet building on
the Meath/Cavan border in Ireland. It is now residential, sleeping 6 clients.
Since Alan started his recording career 18 years ago, he has worked both as Engineer and/or Producer on over 50 double platinum selling albums for various record companies and artists.
In December 2006 Alan also set up Solitaire Records (www.solitaire-records.com)
