Ha'penny Bridge

'The Ha' Penny Bridge' is a love story set against the backdrop of the Irish Civil War in 1922.

George Aitkin is one of the few British left in Dublin, he is in search of good Irish greyhounds. While trying to negotiate a deal with Peader Cassidy, he falls for young Molly Cassidy, Peader's daughter. Initially hesitant of allowing herself to fall for an English man considering the times, Molly eventually gives in to her love for George.

The Ha' Penny Bridge is a special place for Molly and George and a plateau to which Molly returns to share all of her wishes and dreams for the future. But in the tense political times there is huge stress on their relationship. They are the human faces of civilians in 1922, but will they survive the war?

Ha'penny Bridge is a multi million Euro production that has received many outstanding reviews and been compared to as, "the Irish Les Miserable".
